Job Overview
We are looking for a candidate with proven hospital-based clinical and research experience to join our Research Team at Colchester General Hospital site. Research is flourishing at ESNEFT! We now have an exciting new role which has been established to keep up with our expanding research portfolio! This is an opportunity to develop and grow this position, working alongside our dynamic and enthusiastic research teams!

Key Responsibilities
* To recruit participants into clinical trials as required by the needs of the service
* To coordinate your own caseload of clinical research participants
* To act as an ambassador for R&D and for the Trust
* The job holder will carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager.
* The job description and person specification may be reviewed on an ongoing basis in accordance with the changing needs of the RD unit and the organisation.
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Experience
* Proven clinical experience within a hospital setting
* Registered Nurse
* Ophthalmology clinical experience
* Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development
Qualifications
* Current NMC registration
* Postgraduate qualifications in Ophthalmology
Knowledge and Skills
* An understanding and awareness of clinical research in the hospital setting including Ophthalmology
* Able to demonstrate an understanding of professional accountability
