So, if you're looking for a role that values your individuality and ambition, read on What You’ll Be Doing Reporting to the Mechanical Execution Engineer, the successful Mechanical Craftsperson will carry out scheduled, planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to maintain plant condition and performance to support the delivery of the weekly maintenance schedule. You will also undertake mechanical activities as detailed in the preventative maintenance plan and be involved in mechanical breakdown and break-in repairs to ensure expected plant reliability in a timely manor. On a day to day basis, your key responsibilities will include (but aren’t limited to): Complying with and being actively involved in Tarmac SHE Procedures Supporting the operation of processing plants and react to any performance or availability issues as advised by the Mechanical Execution Engineer Carrying out fault finding diagnostics and any repairs to support meeting maintenance outputs and achieving the required levels of plant availability Reporting all engineering, maintenance & repair activities to the Mechanical Execution Engineer including actual times taken and materials used to allow adequate inputs to CMMS Contribute mechanical aspect when required of any root cause analysis reports where significant downtime has occurred Maintaining operability and accuracy of plant and equipment by carrying out defined mechanical work identified in the maintenance schedule Carrying out scheduled maintenance activities in line with weekly maintenance plan Supporting the safe operation of the Cement plant in accordance with planned production targetsWhat We’re Looking For Ideally, you will: Have a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical Maintenance & Engineering Be able to show a good knowledge of grinding, material handling, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Fault finding ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate action Good practical knowledge and experience of maintenance systems required A working knowledge of plant and machinery Basic report writingWhy Tarmac As well as the role of Mechanical Craftsperson, we offer an extensive range of career development opportunities and industry-leading rewards, incentives, and benefits: Bonus scheme Enhanced holiday entitlement Contributory pension scheme Access to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc. Access to our Employee Assistance helpline for free andconfidential advice Access to join our Employee Communities (employee networks) we currently have nine communities inc.(REACH) Religious, Ethnic, Cultural Heritage, LGBTQ, Parents & Carers, Ability, Wellbeing, Female Voice and Menopause Training and development opportunitiesInterested?
