Job summary We have an exciting new leadership role as Deputy Chief Estates and Facilities Officer - Capital. Reporting into the Chief Estates and Facilities Officer, this role will form part of the senior leadership team with the Trusts Estates and Facilities directorate. The remit of the role will be to build a function that is fit for the future by setting improvement standards, driving consistency and building capacity. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the Strategic Estates Development Strategy and Site Masterplanning, ensuring that the capital development programmes of work align with the overall Trust Strategy. OUH operates a significant capital programme. The Deputy Chief Officer will lead a large team responsible for delivering £85m annual capital budget, with current planned programmes including a new £84m surgical elective centre build, a £&m helipad project and a £22m Diagnostic programme. Our hospitals are pioneers in diagnostics and scanning and as a result an important part of your portfolio includes capital in relation to managed equipment contracts, medical equipment and digital. In addition to the core capital element of the role, you will also operate externally with a broad spectrum of potential partners to scope opportunities in relation to future developments and real estate.
