LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
Permanent, part-time.
Hours: 8.15am to 4.15pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only (39 weeks per year).
Salary: £20,604.45 (£24,065 FTE). Progression is on an annual increment scale to £21,353.63 (£24,940 FTE) per annum.
The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and hardworking Learning Support Assistant to work in the Learning Support Department. The post holder will be required to provide assistance to the SENCO and Exams Access teams, carrying out administrative duties and organising cover for the absence of Learning Facilitators and teaching staff. Necessary training will be provided, but you are expected to have good communication, interpersonal, and IT skills, along with well-developed administrative skills.
The post is available immediately on a permanent, part-time basis (85.62%). The post-holder will be required to work term-time only from 8.15am to 4.15pm, Monday to Friday (with a 45 minutes unpaid lunch break each day).
It is anticipated that the post holder will spend the majority of their time working specifically in the Learning Support Department, but a flexible approach to working will be required according to demand and the time in the academic year.
The post requires commitment and excellent organisational skills. The post-holder will spend a significant amount of the working day in a busy office environment and will involve face-to-face interactions with students.
The post carries an expectation for some occasional mandatory evening activities (Open Evenings). However, there are numerous optional opportunities for evening work (Interview Evenings for Students) should the post holder be interested in them for additional remuneration.
