Retrofit Manager (Architectural lead/Project Manager)
Retrofit manager (architectural) required to support leading energy charity. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Retrofit Professional holding a background within architecture or project management. Your new organisation is a leading energy efficiency charity operating across Scotland in partnerships with local government and housing associations. The company offers advice and services for various housing energy efficiency upgrades.
You will join, lead and collaborate with an existing team of Retrofit professionals undertaking a series of planning applications. You will act as the senior lead within the team, conducting your own surveys and works while being the point of contact for more junior staff members. This is both an on and off tools role where you will be in touch with end users, contractors, and public bodies.
This role will see you review planning applications and contracts submitted to the organisation for approval. This may include generating necessary drawings using CAD or similar, then feeding back to clients. Therefore, a high level of communication and professionalism is required to be effective in this role. Strong negotiation and IT skills are also essential.
You will be visiting sites in and around Edinburgh and the central belt; therefore, a driving licence is required. Pool cars or mileage expenses are paid. The ideal candidate will come from an architectural technical background or similar, with experience using CAD to create, edit, and review drawings.
