An excellent opportunity has arisen for an apprentice to work. Working within a busy office environment, training will cover all aspects of a busy accountancy practice, giving you the knowledge and experience required to progress through your career.
Annual wage: £12,480 a year
Training course: Accounts or finance assistant (level 2)
Hours: Monday- Friday 9:00- 17:00
37 hours 30 minutes a week

Work: As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work:
* Maintenance of weekly and monthly client records on different software packages
* Ensure all paperwork is received promptly from clients
* Reconciliation of statements
* Drafting of VAT returns
* Payroll services
* Drafting working papers for accounts preparations
* Ad hoc duties
* Administrative duties

Training: An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Course contents:
* Record transactional data.
* Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results.
* Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data.
* Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements.
Your training plan:
* AAT Level 2 Foundation in Accounting
* Functional skills in math's and English, if required

* GCSE or equivalent in English (grade 4)
* GCSE or equivalent in Maths (grade 4)

Other requirements:
Our Location: We are based between Codsall & Albrighton just off the A41, so own transport is a necessity as we are not on any public transport routes. Must be able to travel to the Walsall training centre on a bi-weekly basis.
