Staff Nurse (Radiology)
Cromwell Hospital, SW5 0TU
Salary: up to £37,652 per annum (dependent on experience)
Permanent 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 3x long days 08:00am – 20:00hrs
Plus 1x 6-hour shift on a Saturday 08:00am- 14:00hrs in every 4 week rota

About the Department
Our Radiology department offers diagnostics, treatment and complementary therapies. We have partnered with Genesis Care which means that we can offer some of the most advanced technology and radiotherapy treatments available today, including the Gamma Knife Icon for brain and spina tumours, the Varian Edge and the MRI-Guided Linac.
Role Overview:
As a Radiology Staff Nurse, you’ll work as part of professional MDT providing excellent patient focused care. Ideally, you’ll have proven clinical background in Radiology. You’ll be a caring and compassionate nurse, delivering a high standard of care to our patients. What you’ll do:
1. Undertake clinical duties in any area that is reasonably requested ensuring that you practice within your professional competencies and abilities.
2. Maintain positive working relationships with all Consultants, ensuring individual Consultant protocols are utilised.
3. Provide high quality physical and psychological Care with Compassion and ensure effective communication to patients and colleagues.
4. Manage care of allocated patients.
5. Assist Radiologists with minimally invasive interventions.
6. Demonstrate professional awareness and accountability.
7. Recognise the needs for DOL’s assessments, mental capacity assessment and ‘simple’ and ‘complex’ safeguarding referrals and highlight any concerns.
8. Have a working knowledge of emergency policies including cardiac arrest and fire.
9. Deputise for the Senior Staff Nurse in their absence.
10. Ensure adequate stock levels to allow care to be provided
What you’ll bring:
11. Registered Nurse Adult/ RN
12. Must have current ILS certification.
13. Appropriate experience as a Nurse in a Radiology setting.
14. Competent with venepuncture and cannulation. (Desirable)
