This role will be to work within the publishing arm of the business, to produce hyper-relevant content that educates and informs our community. Overview We are looking for an ambitious journalist with the appetite to deliver original journalism, strong editorial judgement, and a hunger to chase great stories which will generate engaged traffic. As such, the successful candidate will be given the freedom to experiment with formats for success, while on a day-to-day basis, you’ll be hands-on reeling off industry news articles, proactively chasing feature ideas and commissioning high-quality content from our expert contributor network. You'll also get the time to research and produce deeper dive content and reports. Specifically, this role will focus on the influencer and creator marketing world. You’ll be covering the latest news about the big social platforms, notable partnerships and acquisitions, as well as interviews with creators, brands, and agencies. When it comes to reporting in the field, you’ll get a buzz from the opportunity to conduct live interviews at events throughout the year with senior stakeholders, and be able to report, live-blog and monitor social media from the thick of the industry’s regular conferences. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be writing articles and creating content to promote these pieces on TikTok and Reels. A focus on the right content for our community will be paramount; you’ll have your finger on the pulse on what affects and what our community wants to hear about. The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in journalism or a related field and a minimum of 2-3 years experience in writing, sub-editing and sourcing content, building contact lists and ideally some event reporting to look back on. Experience in copywriting is a must, but knowledge of digital marketing is advantageous. A versatile professional with demonstrable experience in learning about new subjects at a rapid pace will have the upper hand. A digitally-savvy self-starter who can drive and execute projects, focus on delivery and meeting tight deadlines, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively, and demonstrate high integrity will thrive in this working environment. The ideal candidate: An excellent writer who can produce compelling and engaging editorial content in a timely and accurate manner. A confident and proactive professional who thrives off the nature of reporting and interviewing at events. High attention to detail and ability to deliver projects and reports to tight deadlines. Capable of sourcing new industry experts to contribute and add value to the site. Experience with creating multimedia/video content in a journalistic context. Experience of sub-editing internal and external work. Can quickly research, analyse and digest data to write compelling content for editorial and commercial purposes. Knowledge of what content works for today’s online-only audiences. A forward-thinker with plenty of new ideas to bring to the table. Comfortable and familiar with posting to TikTok and Reels. Preferred Experience Being educated to a degree level with a journalism / copywriting / marketing qualification is preferred but not essential. 2-3 years of experience in a dedicated writing role. Ability to work independently and proactively to deliver project deliverables to deadlines An understanding of how to write for SEO. Ability to use Google Analytics to report on and inform content strategies. Design skills are advantageous. Why work with us?
