ACCOUNT MANAGER (ESPORTS) Whisper is a leading global production company, specialising in sports, unscripted and branded entertainment. We are looking for a skilled Account Manager to join our Esports team. The Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact for our Esports clients, ensuring a seamless and exceptional client experience throughout the lifecycle of each project. They will be responsible for pursuing sales prospects, presenting our business proposals, and establishing and nurturing relationships with new clients and maximizing opportunities with existing clients. This role requires a blend of strong sales acumen, expert communication skills, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of the interconnected entertainment, gaming and esports industries. The ideal candidate will be able to deftly balance client needs, sales opportunities and internal team resources, managing expectations while delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Client Acquisition & Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, maintaining positive and productive partnerships throughout project lifecycles Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients, proactively communicating to understand their goals, challenges, and expectations to help provide tailored solutions Manage a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring consistent engagement and satisfaction Identify potential clients and sales opportunities and oversee pitching processes for new business Manage any conflicts or concerns that arise, ensuring a positive client experience while keeping projects on track Support live show and live event productions onsite, managing in-person client requests and liaising between Clients and internal Production and Broadcast teams Project Management & Coordination Collaborate with internal Production and Broadcast teams to ensure client objectives are translated into actionable project plans Oversee the project timeline holistically working with Production and Broadcast teams, helping ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget Coordinate between clients and internal teams, addressing issues or scope changes in a timely manner, surfacing client needs and negotiating challenges Provide feedback from clients to inform product development and execution strategies Identify and address potential issues before they become challenges, offering creative solutions to clients and internal teams Create powerful visual representation outputs for sales pitches, for client updates such as show project primers and information packages, and for visualizing venue specifics, floor plans or creative mock-ups Sales Strategy & Execution Collaborate with the Head of Esports and with Esports Department Leads to implement effective sales strategies, create a sales pipeline, and build a robust and valuable client portfolio Plan and run presentations and negotiations with potential and existing clients Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to leverage opportunities Reporting & Analytics Provide clients with status updates, progress reports, and proactive solutions to potential challenges Prepare tracking outputs and regular reports regarding project status, timelines, and financials Track pitching activities, opportunities, and client pipeline status as well as client communication, project milestones, and deliverables Please note that responsibilities may be amended, added to, or removed to reflect the changing needs of the production or organization. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Experience 3 years of experience in account management, client services, or in senior client-facing Production roles within the entertainment industry Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering successful projects from inception to completion Proven sales experience, working with high-profile clients, sponsors, or agencies preferably within the entertainment, media, or events industry Skills Strong project management skills, with a keen ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate confidently with clients Creative problem-solving ability and adaptability to client needs and project requirements Strong attention to detail, particularly in maintaining timelines, budgets, and client expectations Goal-oriented with a focus on exceeding targets and driving business growth Ability to build strong client relationships and to network effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge Expertise with presentation tools (e.g. Keynote, PowerPoint) and visual design tools (e.g. Photoshop) Expertise with project management tools (e.g. Airtable) Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite Understanding of live show and event production with the ability to navigate complex production workflows Understanding of gaming and esports, including key titles, relevant dynamics in their business ecosystems, and future trends Understanding of the company’s portfolio of products and services, including live events, digital content, and other entertainment offerings Motivation to attend key industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build brand visibility and generate new leads LOCATION The base for this position will be Kew, London. WORKING DAYS 5 day week, x4 days in office and x1 day WFH This role will require a degree of flexibility and weekend working. You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirement.
