Are you an experienced Research Nurse with a background in surgical trials?
We have an exciting patient-facing opportunity for a highly skilled, motivated and enthusiastic Research Nurse to join our well-established clinical research team, part of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be leading a portfolio of non-interventional clinical research studies. Our surgical portfolio includes Upper GI, Urology, ENT, Breast, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Colorectal, Anaesthetics, and Plastics. This post holder will be mainly focused on our ENT portfolio and will be required to coordinate and deliver on the studies, running over all 3 of our hospital sites.
You will possess excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills in order to support patients and work effectively with colleagues while also raising the profile of research within the Trust. You will be required to collaborate closely with leading investigators and clinical research fellows along with other research team members and the wider multidisciplinary team. You will be required to manage your own workload and that of junior members of the team. A proactive, flexible and solution-oriented approach is essential.
The post-holder will be part of a dynamic team, working closely alongside clinical colleagues and be competent to work independently as well as part of a team.

Main duties of the job
* As a Band 6 Clinical Research Nurse you will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and carers participating in research.
* This will involve the recruitment, education and monitoring of research participants and the collection and documentation of accurate data.
* You will work collaboratively with the research team and the wider multidisciplinary team in the management of your own caseload of research patients.
* You will act as a knowledgeable resource for staff, researchers, research participants and patients, alongside a working knowledge and compliance with local, national and international research regulations.
* You will contribute to the development of local policies related to all aspects of the research process and contribute to the training and supervision of staff and researchers.
* You will contribute to nurse-led research.
