The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily clinical and managerial leadership of the T&O Therapy service which consists of a mixed team of 12 staff and includes OT, Physio and Therapy assistants and clinically covers 41 beds across 2 wards and has a twice weekly pre-op clinic as well as a newly formed Domiciliary service. JoinTeamEliot Main duties of the job As Team Leader you will have clinical and operational responsibility for T&O Therapy Services. Clinically you will manage a small complex caseload as well as being the point of clinical excellence and development within the team with responsibility for ensuring each team member has a personal development plan, regular review of clinical competencies, oversee a progressive in-service training plan and ensuring you are up to date with current practice guidelines. Operationally you will be responsible for the daily leadership and organisation of the T&O Team, this will include but not be exclusive to clinical supervision, performance management, sickness and absence management, staff appraisal and CSTF, daily staffing numbers and staff deployment across a 7 day service, service review and service development. Good prioritisation, organisational and time management skills will be needed to balance clinical and non-clinical duties. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of service review and development - this post requires continual review and occasional re-design of the services we offer in order to meet trust and national guidelines and Targets. You will be key to being actively involved in the measurement and evaluation of your work and current practices through the use of Evidence Based Practice projects, audit and outcome measures.
