The Yorkshire Centre for Eating Disorders is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Charge Nurse to join ward 6 inpatient service, which is part of the CONNECT service. The 14 bedded ward is available to individuals who are resident in the Leeds, Wakefield, Kirklees, Calderdale and Bradford areas.
The service offers inpatient assessment and treatment for patients with a diagnosed eating disorder working closely with the CONNECT Community team to provide seamless care.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Risk management.
2. Physical health monitoring.
3. Care planning and CPA process.
4. Medication management.
5. Naso-gastric feeding.
6. Providing supervision to junior members of the team.
7. Leadership and rostering.
8. Group work.
9. Supporting manager with recruitment, auditing, staff management and representation in meetings.
It is desirable that the successful candidate has experience of working with this client group, either in an inpatient or outpatient/community setting, as well as being enthusiastic and motivated to work with individuals with different and often complex needs.

Minimum Requirements
Experience:
* Has RMHN registration and post preceptorship experience in a clinical setting.
* Experience of working in a mental health setting.
Knowledge:
* Able to demonstrate a genuine interest for working with the client group, and in an inpatient setting.
* Understands the roles and responsibilities of a band 6 nurse within the MDT.
Skills:
* Able to demonstrate good risk management skills.
