We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast paced, rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software and be adept at creating detailed technical drawings and schematics to strict deadlines. This role is essential for supporting various projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications. The CAD Technician will work closely with the Design Manager to complete detailed design drawings.

The CAD Technician role will allow the ideal candidate to work on a range of Fire Alarm and Security System projects that range between £50k and £1m.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
* Experience in creating detailed construction drawings
* Using AutoCAD to edit and expand on existing DWG's
* Experience in BIM modelling (not essential)
* Using software to track drawing submissions/alterations
* Be able to work to deadlines and complete tasks in agreed timeframes
* Communicating with a wider team to discuss live and upcoming projects
* Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and specifications
* Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations
* Maintain an organised library of CAD files and documentation for easy access by the team
* Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports as needed
Skills
* Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD
* Strong attention to detail with an ability to produce accurate technical drawings
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Knowledge of building codes and industry standards related to design projects is advantageous
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
