Job Title: Principal Engineer – Computing and IT (Network)
Location: Coventry. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £61,500 per annum depending on skillsets and experience.
What you’ll be doing:
* Develop design solutions to meet an agreed time, cost and quality in accordance with project or business milestones.
* Develop and manage requirements and the overall acceptance criteria specific to systems and products across the platform or programmes.
* Attend factory acceptance tests and assist in the development of test procedures.
* Produce documentation required to support the design review process, including diagrams, technical specifications, supporting calculations, design evidence, and justifications.
* Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive and captured within the requirements management tools, endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
* Undertake design reviews and presentations to share and report to stakeholders.
* Provide team mentorship at Principal level (if required).
Your skills and experiences:
* Hold a STEM degree such as BEng (Hons) / MEng or have relevant experience within an IT Computing background.
* Proven technical report writing and presentation skills.
* Demonstrable experience of the systems engineering lifecycle.
* Proven track record of working within network infrastructure systems design.
