The Plant Maintenance Manager will supervise and allocate works within the Maintenance Department while adhering to safe practices, procedures, environmental & legal requirements.
The Plant Maintenance Manager wil ensure all maintenance activities are planned, executed & delivered safely, efficiently and are cost effective
What you will be doing
1. Ensure all duties required are planned & assigned to relevant personnel daily
2. Work in conjunction with the hire team to ensure all equipment is idle available and ready for hire
3. Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure work is prioritised correctly.
4. Manage the work & behaviour of any employee assigned to your charge in accordance with company procedures.
5. Ensure all personnel are trained & competent to operate equipment, machinery and to undertake all tasks assigned.
6. Ensure that job cards are completed on allocation of work & handed in daily where practicable.
7. Ensure all workshop equipment is maintained and legally compliant and workspaces are always kept clean and tidy.
8. Ensure all maintenance equipment & procedural requirements are compliant in accordance with the manufacturers and Murphy quality procedures.
9. Ensure all maintenance activities are controlled in a timely & cost-effective manner.
10. Ensure quality control is enforced by inspection of completed work by authorised personnel
11. Identify all future training requirements for staff and workforce.
12. Ensure all Murphy Plant staff carries out roles and responsibilities as agreed.
13. Deliver Apprentice employment standards and encourage growth and development.
14. Carrying out staff appraisals, managing performance, policing timekeeping and disciplining staff;
15. Establish and promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental matters in conjunction with the HSQE department.
Who we are loooking for
16. NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance or equivelant
17. Management experience within a plant maintenance environment
18. Experience in the role of yard based or mobile plant fitter
19. Excellent troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of Plant and Equipment
20. Possess extensive knowledge of current practices and methods in the plant industry
