Administrator Hourly Rate: £12.85 per hr paye Location: Heywood Office, Rochdale Council Job Type: Temporary (3 months) Rochdale Council is seeking an Administrator for their Environmental Management Service at the Heywood Office. This role is crucial for providing a wide range of business and technical support functions, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery in line with Council policies and procedures. Day-to-day of the role: Serve as the main customer contact at Green Lane Reception, both in person and by telephone. Undertake various business/technical support functions including data input and retrieval, managing environmental management records, and processing incoming and outgoing mail. Assist in the procurement of goods and services, including ordering stationery and maintaining data quality for all records. Prepare and collate information for banking and payments, and assist with data collection for Service Key Performance Indicators. Provide technical assistance, information, and guidance on issues related to the service. Use ICT systems such as Word and Excel to complete duties, prepare routine correspondence, and maintain up-to-date service information. Monitor office consumables, manage inventories, process orders and invoices, and ensure timely payment of invoices. Assist with the preparation of Sundry Debtors Accounts and the reconciliation of cash income. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a public sector environment. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
