Trinity GX Childrens home is now hiring!
Gabriel House is a new home shortly awaiting Ofsted registration and we are recruiting for a full staff team. Gabriel house will accommodate up to 3 children and young people in care age 8-17 years who present with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
We will be creating a strong team that makes a real difference providing high quality 24 hour residential childcare. If you are short listed you will be required to complete a full application form prior to interview as per safer recruitment guidance. You must be available to start by 12/5/25.

* Shift and schedule (2 on, 4 off pattern, this may change subject to service needs).

Qualities and experience we are looking for:
* People with a big heart and passion to make difference to the childrens lives.
* Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting is preferred and essential for seniors.
* Desirable to have NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent
* If you do not have the above we will pay for you to study and support you every step of the way. This qualification completion will be required within two years of commencing this role to support and inform your work with children and young people.
* Understanding that the people we care for can be challenging.
* Be patient, resilient and calming.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Working in line with the Children s Home Regulations 2015 and knowledge of the quality standards.
* Experience and understanding of working directly with children.
You will be proactive and inventive to ensure a bespoke and individualised service is provided for each young person within the home.
* You will have a positive outlook and always strive to find new ways to respond to any difficulties faced.
* You will be reflective upon your own work/skillset, and work on developing your role ongoingly committing to regular training as per role requirement.
Main Duties - In the home
* Provide primary basic care and a nurturing, (therapeutic) environment and ensure that all shifts reflect this practice this will include care support and therapeutic parenting.
* Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed daily, and to a high standard by all staff.
* Complete debriefs for all staff and young persons when they have been involved in a physical intervention/incident (seniors-ensuring these are completed within regulatory timeframes).
* Work with firm and consistent boundaries in order to create safety and containment for the young people.
* Oversee key workers(seniors) ensuring they are supported in developing in this role, and meet all responsibilities required.
* Ensure a meeting for the young people is held weekly (minimum).
* The ability to ensure the home meets its regulatory and legislation requirements and work inaccordance with the Childrens Homes Regulations and co-operate with any inspection process.
* The ability to manage and shift lead when allocated and to offer support and guidance to more junior staff.
* Ability to manage children who display disruptive or challenging behaviour and to guide/direct staff in managing that behaviour.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines.
* Contribute to the monitoring of the quality of recording within the service, ensuring records are complete and contain all the required information.
