Duties & Responsibilities
1. Supervising a fast paced team of up to 15 staff.
2. Responsible for the day to day operations of a national transport desk.
3. Ensuring department standards and processes are met and adhered to.
4. Liaising with customers, freight operating companies and internal departments to ensure requirements are met.
5. Dealing with first line escalations from both customers and internal departments.
6. Taking ownership of and developing the FCL Intermodal product for our client.
7. Supporting with staff training, occasional UK travel required.
What We're Looking For
1. Effective leadership and team-building skills.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3. Experience in commercial communication.
4. IT Literate (good knowledge of Excel would be an advantage).
5. Previous experience of working in Transport or a customer facing role.
An understanding of the transport industry would be preferred but not essential. Working as part of a successful team, you will possess excellent communication skills and experience of dealing directly with customers. A working knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Excel is essential for the role.
