ITSM Administrator
Leidos are seeking an ITSM/ Linux Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with Linux (RHEL) and other environments, ensuring high availability, system performance, and security for critical systems. You who will be responsible for managing and maintaining the system application to ensure it operates efficiently and effectively. This role is based solely in office and involves configuring the platform, maintaining system stability, and ensuring data integrity. The administrator collaborates with various stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide technical solutions, and support ongoing projects, operations and new requirements as they are identified by the business.

Key Responsibilities :
* System Administration : Help to manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across multiple environments (development, staging, production).
* Installation and Configuration : Install, configure, and deploy new RHEL systems.
* Troubleshooting and Support : Provide second-line support for RHEL-based systems, diagnose and resolve issues related to system performance, networking, storage, and application deployments.
* Performance Tuning : Monitor system performance, ensuring resource utilization is efficient and bottlenecks are minimized.
* Backup and Disaster Recovery : Support regular backups are performed and implement disaster recovery plans to protect critical systems and data.
* Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
* Collaboration : Work closely with other IT teams (network, storage, security, etc.) and developers to ensure seamless system integration and operation.
Skills :
* Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and best practices.
* Working with RHEL and managing offline repositories desirable.
* Understanding of system security concepts, including user permissions, SELinux, firewalls, and security updates
* Experience with enterprise monitoring and alerting tools.
* Familiarity with virtualisation platforms (e.g., HyperV or VMWare).
