The Role:
They are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to act as the number 1 lead on a £20m Student Accommodation project in Oxford. This role requires an individual with a proven track record of managing complex, high-value construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take full responsibility for the delivery of the £20m Student Accommodation project, from pre-construction through to handover.
2. Oversee all on-site operations, managing site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are consistently exceeded.
4. Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
5. Monitor project performance, including progress, financials, and quality, and take proactive steps to address any issues.
6. Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
7. Manage stakeholder communications and reporting, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For:
1. Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager, with a history of acting as the number 1 lead on projects valued at £15m-£50m.
2. Expertise in delivering large-scale accommodation projects (e.g., Student Accommodation, Care-to-Residential).
3. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams effectively.
4. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets, contracts, and negotiations with confidence.
5. A solution-focused mindset, capable of navigating challenges and identifying opportunities for improvement.
6. Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, with membership in professional bodies (e.g., CIOB, RICS) being advantageous.
