We have an opportunity for an Assistant Planner with previous relevant industry experience to join our Leeds team. Our teams specialise in a wide range of projects including large scale mixed-use regeneration, infrastructure, residential, industrial & logistics and commercial developments. You will be working alongside experienced planning professionals assisting on a cross-section of planning applications, appeals and pre-application enquiries, as well as local plan representations. We will fully support candidates with a disability or long-term condition who require adjustments in our recruitment process. 3 What are you going to do Key role responsibilities Supporting the team in the delivery of a variety of planning projects including assisting with all aspects of advice, planning applications and appeals Researching and analysing planning policy and decisions, preparing representations to emerging policy and local plans. Drafting reports, advice notes, planning statements and pre-application letters Submitting applications on the planning portal and monitoring applications via Public Access. Attending meetings liaising with the Local Planning Authority, stakeholders and client’s as required. 4 What we ask Degree or higher in relevant subject, making you eligible for RTPI membership. Excellent analytical, verbal and written skills. Positive, hard-working attitude. Enjoys responsibility and integrating/collaborating with others. Understanding of the UK planning system. Relevant work experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment. 5 What we offer Competitive salary and benefits package.
