Senior Clinical Foot and Ankle Fellow (STRH) in Trauma & Orthopaedics

Applications are invited for the above post to commence from 15 February 2025 until 5 August 2025. This post will also be available from 6 August 2025 to 4 August 2026. The post will primarily be based in the Orthopaedic Department at Llandough Hospital. The successful applicants will gain valuable experience in all aspects of the sub-speciality appointed to.
The Department does have an active research programme in place including basic science laboratory facilities. The ULHB is associated with Cardiff University and excellent postgraduate facilities are available. The post is not educationally approved and will therefore not attract a National Training Number.

This post will provide an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking for Orthopaedic experience at senior level with a view to developing independent practice. The Orthopaedic Department in Cardiff is one of the busiest in the UK and the successful applicants will have exposure to world class surgeons working within a busy and progressive department.

QUALIFICATIONS
* MBBS or equivalent
* FRCS/MRCS
* ATLS Provider
* Intercalated Degree
* MSc or PHD
* Academic Excellence
* FRCS (T&O)
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
* Evidence of completion of basic surgical training.
* Evidence of middle grade experience in trauma and Orthopaedics.
* Specialist training experience leading to FRCS (Orth)
* Evidence of previous experience in trauma surgery
* Basic and Advanced Trauma Courses
