Location: Stretford, Secondary School Start Date: October Half-Term Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Stretford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with various learning difficulties and disabilities, ensuring they receive the assistance needed to thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, helping them engage with the curriculum. Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons that accommodate individual learning styles. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding their development. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation from all students. Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN coordinators and external professionals, to create effective support strategies. Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social interactions among students. Qualifications: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. A relevant qualification in education or child development (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3) is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
