In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including mental health conditions. Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, and helping Chelsea achieve her personal goals. This may include support to engage in hobbies such as arts and crafts, theme parks, hiking and paddle boarding, and support to engage in activities in the community such as attending church. Key Responsibilities: Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks. Support Chelsea in accessing community activities, education, and employment opportunities. Encourage and promote independence, confidence, and well-being. Administer medication and ensure accurate record-keeping. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement care plans. Provide emotional support and companionship to Chelsea. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for Chelsea. Things Chelsea likes: High rides in theme parks, safari and zoos, sealife, diamond art, digital art, lego, pottery painting and crafts, tie dye etc. She has recently taken up paddle boarding and would love a staff member who might like to join her on the local lake. Chelsea loves dog shows and training her assistance dog etc Chelsea loves going to her local church, attending groups singing etc. She is very keen on drama and is part of a group which involves singing and dancing. She would like to learn photography, how to use her cricut machine etc. Chelsea is a huge fan of Christmas / birthday celebrations Chelsea enjoys time on her own and with family. With the right staff Chelsea thrives. Requirements: Previous experience in a care or support role is a plus, but not required. Experience with caring for/ handling dogs is desirable Makaton 1 or 2 is desirable A compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine desire to help others. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to undertake relevant training, including first aid, manual handling, and safeguarding.
