Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced English teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Oxfordshire. This permanent role is ideal for someone who is passionate about literature, language, and helping students become confident, articulate communicators. You'll be joining a committed teaching team and playing a key role in student progress across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and inclusive English lessons that meet the needs of all learners

Prepare students for GCSEs through a well-structured and inspiring curriculum
*
Track and assess student progress to identify learning gaps and tailor support
*
Promote a love for reading, writing, and discussion through creative teaching strategies
*
Contribute to the English department’s development and participate in whole-school initiatives
Required Experience
*
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
*
Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
*
Strong subject knowledge and a flair for delivering lessons that engage and motivate
*
Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
*
Commitment to supporting students of all abilities and backgrounds
