Job Description:
As a Kitchen Porter, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, ensuring that everything runs efficiently behind the scenes. Your main responsibilities will include cleaning dishes, assisting with food prep, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and supporting chefs and kitchen staff to create the best experience for our wedding guests.
Key Responsibilities:
* Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils to a high standard
* Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, tidy, and organized throughout service
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients and food items under the direction of chefs
* Take out rubbish and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
* Maintain stock levels of cleaning products and report any shortages to the Head Chef
* Assist with basic food preparation and other kitchen tasks as needed
* Ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times, particularly regarding cleanliness and food handling
* Support the kitchen team during busy service periods, especially during events and weddings
Skills & Experience:
* Experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is beneficial but not required
* A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
* Ability to work under pressure and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
* Reliable, punctual, and adaptable
* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
