Job Title: Learning Mentor for Special Educational Needs (Immediate Start, Permanent)

About the Role
Are you passionate about empowering students to achieve their potential? We're seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our school community in Westbury with an immediate start. In this full-time, permanent role, you will work directly with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other special educational needs, providing personalised support that fosters confidence, growth, and independence within a positive and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities
* One-on-One Mentorship: Offer personalised support and mentoring to SEN students, guiding them to engage effectively with the curriculum and develop essential life skills.
* Collaborative IEP Support: Work closely with teachers to implement and adjust Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to suit the individual needs of each student, helping to remove learning barriers and maximise engagement.
* Positive Behaviour Development: Encourage and reinforce positive behaviour, helping students build social skills and fostering a supportive, structured classroom atmosphere.
* Monitoring and Reporting: Track and document student progress, providing valuable insights and updates to teachers and parents to support ongoing development and celebrate each student's achievements.
What We're Looking For
* Experience: Previous experience in a mentoring or SEN support role is beneficial, though we welcome anyone motivated to make a difference in young lives.
* Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, patience, and adaptability; a nurturing approach to building student confidence and fostering resilience.
* Qualifications: Basic GCSE Maths and English proficiency is preferred, but not required for those with a passion for supporting SEN students.
