Job overview
We have an opportunity for a Clinical Lead Nurse in our Mental Health and Wellness teams in the Community Mental Health Transformation.
Candidates must:
1. Have continuous experience of supervising staff and delegate work
appropriately.
2. Deliver a range of evidence-based interventions which will promote recovery, social inclusion and normalisation for this group of service users, who suffer from severe, enduring mental health problems.
3. Work in partnership with the MDT, Home Treatment Team, Acute Inpatients Services, Local Authority and other third sector organisations to provide support and treatment to service users within crisis to facilitate the safe management of their needs within a community setting.
4. Be a Qualified Mental Health Nurses with a live unrestricted UK NMC registration, strong team player with at least three years post qualifying experience in a mental health setting.
5. Strong leadership skills and using own initiative.
The post holder will deputise for the team manager and be able to autonomously oversee clinical systems and staff. It is essential that applicants have excellent organisational skills and are competent with using computer programmes and databases.
Our current focus is now on placed based care - moving to locality teams around the Primary Care Networks.
Main duties of the job
6. Undertaking assessment of complex case, including risk assessments

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period

High-Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) pro rata for part time staff.
