SOCIAL MEDIA EXECUTIVE Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award winning digital content studio and media network who are currently on a quest to find a Social Media Executive to join our team at History Hit. We are looking for a dynamic individual to execute social media campaigns that drive customer acquisition, engagement, brand awareness, and retention by showcasing our historical content. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history and a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and audience engagement strategies. They will be responsible for creating and scheduling engaging content, managing community interactions, and analysing performance metrics. Working closely with our marketing and content teams, they will play a key role in amplifying History Hit’s reach, fostering an active online community, and ensuring our historical programming resonates with audiences across various platforms. They will also collaborate with the commercial team to support branded content initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of partner campaigns across social channels. Write copy specifically for social media, taking into account the brand tone-of-voice, platform tone-of-voice, and platform best practices. Manage long and short-term content plans in collaboration with the wider agency and client team, planning proactively and reacting to editorial developments quickly. Be the expert across your key channels on the content types/themes most relevant and likely to resonate with the audience and achieve strategic aims. Demonstrate constant curiosity about what content is performing most strongly, and show ongoing tenacity when it comes to achieving results and pushing for improvements/growth. Produce channel focused reports to provide qualitative insight alongside quantitative data. Responsible for long and short term content plans, planning proactively and reacting quickly. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything. Demonstrable knowledge and passion for history. Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Experience of managing content schedules. Basic graphic design and video editing capabilities e.g. clipping moments, revisioning aspect ratio and updating graphic templates using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Premiere Pro). A flair for writing engaging social copy. Excellent communication, a can-do approach and exceptional organisation & planning skills.
