The Cardiology Sister/Charge Nurse is a pivotal role in leading and managing the Cardiology Outpatient Department at the Oxford Heart Centre. The post holder will ensure high standards of patient care and service delivery by providing expert clinical leadership and operational management. They will act as a visible and accessible leader, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to meet departmental and organisational objectives.
Main Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
* Promote excellence in outpatient cardiology nursing practice, demonstrating expert knowledge and skills in managing complex and evolving patient needs.
* Act as a credible clinical role model, ensuring care is evidence-based and focused on the needs of the patient.
* Be a visible and accessible leader, engaging with patients, relatives, and staff to support high-quality care and positive experiences.
* Collaborate with the Non-Invasive Cardiac Physiology team to streamline outpatient processes and enhance patient pathways.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation, demonstrating proficiency with IT systems and digital tools.
