Operational Risk Analyst - Contract to 10th June 2025
Location: Chester (Hybrid working)
Salary: From £55,000 per annum, plus benefits
Role Description:
As an Operational Risk Analyst, you will collaborate with the Currency, Commodities, & Derivatives Operations (CCDO) teams and senior leaders to proactively identify, quantify, prioritise, and mitigate risks. Your focus will be on improving controls, operational excellence, and sustainable solutions. Being a part of the first line of defence, you will ensure the effectiveness and adequacy of the risk and control environment supporting CCDO, aligned with the enterprise Risk Framework.
Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a trusted advisor to CCDO functions and leadership, providing independent oversight and assessment of the risk environment.
2. Strengthen the control environment, improve control culture & practices, and promote the CCDO Risk Principles.
3. Coordinate and manage input for Regulatory Exams, Corporate Audits, and Target Risk Assessments.
4. Develop and maintain Process Management Standard requirements, including metric performance oversight.
5. Collaborate with Audit, Compliance & Operational Risk partners on findings and emerging themes.
6. Ensure compliance with critical deadlines for risk identification, escalation, and remediation.
