About the role
As a result of the retirement of the previous postholder, a significant career opportunity has arisen within the Finance & Procurement Service for a qualified Procurement / Commissioning professional to lead our centralised Procurement & Commissioning team and join us to be part of Team Ceredigion.
You must be highly motivated and capable of taking a leading role in managing the Council’s Procurement & Commissioning affairs. You should be capable of being a Ceredigion Corporate Manager, which will require you to adopt a wider leadership role, taking a holistic corporate approach and allowing you to exert your influence on how the Council operates.
You will be directly responsible for all the Council’s activity in relation to Procurement, Social Care Commissioning and the end to end Purchases to Payments workflow. You will be the main point of contact for Council Services for key Procurement & Commissioning input and advice.
You will also support the Corporate Lead Officer: Finance & Procurement (Section officer) alongside 3 other Corporate Managers in being an essential part of the Service’s management team.
