Are you looking for a hands-on warehouse supervisor role on a permanent basis?
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will assist in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-moving environment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of employees within the warehouse function, ensuring that the company's targets and objectives are met to fulfill customer requirements while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and standard operating procedures.
You'll be responsible for housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the warehouse. Develop the team by promoting positivity and focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards.
Your duties will include:
1. Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the entire goods in/out process to ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
2. Oversee and develop 3PL accounts, liaising with customers and third-party logistics suppliers.
3. Effectively promote and review all warehouse processes, including compliance with Policies, Procedures, and Health & Safety.
4. Develop a team of Warehouse Operatives and Delivery Operatives, promoting continuous improvement and development of multi-skilled employees by providing training and support.
5. Monitor departmental KPIs daily, promoting continuous improvement to required targets. Hold daily Warehouse Pulse measure meetings, identifying areas for improvement.
6. Communicate performance to stakeholders effectively through maintaining records and producing reports.
7. Organise, facilitate, and drive the Warehouse Cycle Count programme, including 3PL customer cycle counts. Support with annual Stock Take.
8. Monitor and control FM Technician equipment register, storage, issues, and returns of equipment and consumables through Sage.
9. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and champion 5S activities in the area, ensuring compliance with safety and audit standards.
10. Complete queries and/or complaints in a timely manner, both internally and externally.
11. Control Supplier and Customer returns in a timely manner, ensuring to liaise with other departments.
12. Support the Warehouse Manager in new employee onboarding, inductions, and people management.
13. Support the Fleet Manager, ensuring the fleet and its drivers are operating in accordance with legislation and regulations.
You will need:
1. Knowledge of relevant legislation.
2. Able to work well as part of a team.
3. Ability to work accurately while under pressure.
4. Good numeracy and communication skills.
5. Able to lead and develop.
6. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
7. Flexible approach to duties and tasks.
8. Ability to accurately complete paperwork and count products.
9. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
10. Hold a valid Counterbalance Fork Truck Licence.
