What's involved with this role: Temporary Business Services Assistant/ Admin x2 - Resources Job Ref: Derbyshire 5256993 Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3 months City: MATLOCK The working pattern is a minimum of 1 day being office based and the remainder from home. You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Business Services Assistants. The role is varied, fast-paced and the ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines is essential. Provide administrative and other support where coordination, interaction and awareness of related activities are important. Key Responsibilities: Administrating the Local Authority responsibility for unsatisfactory school attendance which includes issuing penalty notices and/or prosecution process. Taking and receiving phone calls from the public, and professionals in relation to individual cases and generic queries. Checking paperwork for legal compliance. Part of a wider team of administrators with responsibility for children missing from school and children in entertainment and employment. Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 qualification or relevant office experience. Knowledge: An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection. Experience: Minute/note taking experience Previous financial experience would be beneficial Experience of working in a busy office environment. Skills & Abilities: Excellent IT skills, which includes the use of Microsoft packages, and some bespoke software Good communication skills both written and oral. Good organisational skills. An ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. An ability to interpret information and analyse data. An ability to work within organisational policies and procedures. An ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of administrative duties.
