Job Title: Office Administrator\n \n Location: Sheffield \n \n Salary: £25k - open to salary expectations \n\n Metalis are currently in partnership with a metal supplying company based in Sheffield. Our client is seeking an experienced Office Administrator to provide essential support to their dynamic office environment on a 12-week temporary-to-permanent basis.\n \n The Business Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the office by providing administrative support, managing communication and organising office systems.\n \n Key Responsibilities\n\nManaging and maintaining office files, documents, and records - written and computer based.\nDrafting, reviewing, and proofreading workplace instructions, reports and Purchase/TP/Sales contracts.\nAnswering phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication.\nGreeting and directing visitors, clients, or employees.\nEnsuring the office environment is organised and operational (e.g., managing office supplies and equipment).\nEnsuring confidentiality and security of sensitive company data.\nKeeping track of invoices, expenses, and financial records.\nOrganising team-building activities, mandatory training and company events.\nSupporting HR tasks such as onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records.\nAssisting with invoicing and financial reporting.\nAssisting with procurement or purchasing of office supplies and factory consumables (such as PPE).\nPreparing documents or presentations for meetings or customer reports.\nHandling customer inquiries or directing them to the appropriate persons.Required Skills\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, clients, and suppliers.\nAccuracy in administrative tasks, document management, and data entry.\nComfortable with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and basic IT troubleshooting.\nA friendly and professional demeanour when interacting with clients, visitors, and team members.\nAbility to handle sensitive information with care and maintain confidentiality.\nAbility to adapt to changing office needs or priorities and work in a dynamic environment.Salary and Shifts\n\nDays regular, Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-3pm\n12 week temp - perm\n£25k - open to salary discussionsIf this role could be of interest please apply now and one of our consultants will be in touch to discus your application further
