About the Role
You are joining us to become a key member of the finance team. You will be focused on ensuring our numbers are up to date and fully reconciled, working closely with our Financial Controller and junior team members.
You will also assist in financial reporting, liaising with third parties, general reporting, cash management and the production of management accounts.
This is a varied role with the opportunity to develop your career. Your communication skills are as important as your financial ones, as you will be working closely with other teams across the business.
We believe in being proactive and taking ownership; this role will be vital to helping us shape the finance function and we welcome your ideas and problem-solving abilities.
You will have one junior team member reporting into you, so some experience of supervising or managing is advantageous but not essential, as we can provide support to help you grow into this.
Success in your first year looks like:
* You will be confident in taking ownership and ensuring the financial data in the company is accurate, managed, reconciled and fully up to date.
* You will be ensuring the finance team meet their monthly reporting deadlines.
* You will be supporting our Financial Controller and have built a good relationship across the business as well as our third-party finance providers.
* You are confident assisting in the production of management accounts and are involved in other areas of reporting required to support the wider business.
* You are supervising junior team members to support their growth.
To achieve this, you will:
* Ensure the company’s financial records are up to date and reconciled on our ERP and supporting systems.
* Work within the finance team to ensure all prepayments, accruals, journals and other accounting adjustments are accurately recorded and any timing differences are accounted for.
* Be involved in the cashflow and budgeting management for the business.
* Develop relationships and oversee reporting process for third party relationships.
* Support Financial controller with day-to-day requirements.
* Help to train and develop junior team members and co-ordinate to support in your day-to-day duties.
* Work with other teams in the business representing finance and to provide ad hoc reporting.
* Co-ordinate with Financial Controller to ensure finance reporting targets are achieved on a monthly basis.
* Assist in the end of year audit.
Essential Criteria
* You are currently studying and have completed at least the first level of ACCA/ICAEW/CIMA or AAT Level 4 Qualified and looking to continue your studies to completion.
* Currently working in a finance role either in industry or practice with at least 2 years’ relevant experience.
Advantageous Criteria
* Experience of supervising and supporting junior team members.
* Experience of preparing or supporting the preparation of management accounts.

Your team
You will be joining a friendly and supportive Finance team of 5 people and will be based in our Harlow office.
You will report into Katrina our Financial Controller and Kim our Finance Director, you will also be working closely across the business with the wider Greenbrook team of 50 people.
Your Environment
This is an office-based role, and we are located in Harlow, not far from the town centre with excellent access to shops, cafes and local amenities. We have an open-plan environment that helps us collaborate and to encourage new ideas.
We are a close-knit team, and you can often find us working together on projects or to hit a deadline, our environment really helps bring everyone together.
