Take initial project responsibility for marking out sites, applying designs and plans and checking that drawings and quantities are accurate for the work. Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant for use in the construction. Suggest and implement cost-effective solutions and proposals for the project(s). Plan and organise the work, plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed timescales and deadlines. Undertake or organise the continuous snagging of work on site, arranging for appropriate action and works to be taken. Manage the Permit to Work systems. Act as the focal point for unexpected technical difficulties and other problems, ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner in order to avoid any delay to the project. Liaise and communicate on a regular basis and as required for the smooth operation of the project, to include project manager site manager clients and their representatives consultants, planners, quantity surveyors etc. sub-contractors. the supervisors and workforce involved in the project. Monitor project progress to establish site variations and delays against contract, keeping all relevant parties informed and resolving issues whenever possible.
