Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate Assistant Practitioner to join our dynamic stroke and neuro rehabilitation Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team. You will work across both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, providing specialist treatments and demonstrating assessment skills. You will be flexible in your approach and able to provide cover across both inpatient and community settings. You will have opportunities to work with patients individually, as part of a team, and in group settings. You will be supported by a specialist team and facilitated to continue developing your knowledge and skills in this exciting area.
The post holder will need to have an interest in gardening, craft, pottery, and art, using a variety of equipment, materials, and techniques. Experience in group work within a clinical setting is essential.
As the post involves community work, being a car driver is essential.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Support patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals by providing treatment programmes.
2. Complete stroke/neurology specific therapeutic interventions under the direction of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
3. Act as a key worker for patients on the caseload, providing feedback to clinicians.

* NVQ 3 diagnostic and therapeutic care or equivalent competency-based qualification
