A rapidly growing food industry business is now looking to add to its management team with a talented addition to its Technical team. Someone who thrives in a factory-focused role, managing a team and working closely with customers.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Manage the core business technical processes, whilst being the lead technical contact for customers, retailers, and governing bodies.
Safely co-ordinate and continuously improve the organisations technical strategy to ensure safety, legality, and compliance always.
To meet and exceed company and customer expectations for compliance, quality, cost and delivery.
Who we are looking for:
Qualifications/Skills:
Solid technical / QA track record within food manufacturing.
Food Fraud and Food Defence (essential).
Level 3 Food Safety (essential)
Level 3 HACCP (essential)
Internal Auditor qualification (essential).
Lead Auditor qualification (desirable)
Educated to a degree level in a food science discipline. (desirable)

Knowledge & Experience:
In-depth knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and BRCGS Food Safety requirements (essential)
Able to demonstrate working knowledge of raw material & packaging specifications, factory technical management, retailer customer requirements, hosting food safety audits, BRCGS, QMS and HACCP.
Production processes (food industry preferred)
Continuous improvement tools and techniques
Demonstrable change management experience and of effectively managing a team.
Relevant Health, Safety & Compliance legislation understanding.
Relevant employment law understanding
