Derbyshire Constabulary are looking for experienced police constables who have a passion for serving the communities of Derbyshire. Our key purpose is to fight crime, bring offenders to justice, and protect the vulnerable from harm.
We would warmly welcome individuals who would be able to transfer to the High Peak area of the county although other postings are still available.

The must haves:
1. Have passed their probationary period.
2. Have a full, manual driving licence.
3. Are able to pass the necessary vetting and occupational health checks.
4. Are able to pass the Job Related Fitness Test.
5. Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues.
6. Are a member of a Home Office force or Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) or Police Scotland (please note we cannot accept an application to transfer from an officer serving with a non-Home Office police force).
For this vacancy we are only able to accept applications from currently serving officers wishing to transfer and not applicants with previous police service who wish to re-join.
The Recruitment Process
1. Stage 1: Your application – you will need to provide evidence that demonstrates your competency to be a Police Constable.
2. Stage 2: Interview – this will be with two senior officers who will be assessing you against the personal qualities required for a Constable, and your commitment to Derbyshire Constabulary and the challenges that we face as a County (details of whether this will be conducted in person or online will be confirmed closer to the time).
3. Stage 3: Pre–employment checks – If you are successful at the interview, you will be invited in for a medical, fitness test and drug screening appointment. We will also carry out vetting checks and contact your current force HR department and line manager for employment references.
4. Stage 4: Final Offer – If all of the above checks are met satisfactorily, we will write to you offering you a position with Derbyshire Constabulary.
