Role Overview:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering top-notch care and support to our residents. You’ll work alongside the care team to address daily needs, lead supervisions and appraisals, assist in care planning, and mentor support workers. Your leadership will help maintain high standards of care and foster independence among residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Daily Care: Collaborate with the care team to address residents’ daily needs while upholding their dignity and independence.
* Supervision: Conduct regular supervisions and appraisals for support workers, providing necessary guidance and support.
* Care Planning: Contribute to creating and implementing individualized care plans.
* Mentorship: Coach and support support workers, promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
* Leadership: Set high standards of care by leading by example, ensuring the well-being and independence of residents.
Reporting To: Home Manager/Deputy Manager/Nurse
Requirements:
* Experience: Previous experience in a senior care role with demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
* Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
* Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and create a supportive work environment.
* Empathy: A compassionate nature with a genuine commitment to enhancing residents' lives.
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (or currently working towards).
