CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain efficient CI/CD workflows with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps for continuous integration and delivery. Cloud Services: Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring high availability, cost-efficiency, and top performance. Containerisation & Orchestration: Build and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters, enabling seamless scaling and deployment. Security & Compliance: Implement secure cloud architectures, automate security controls, and ensure compliance with GDS and NCSC security standards. Monitoring & Logging: Use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch to monitor system performance and health, ensuring uptime and identifying issues proactively. Automation Support: Assist software engineers by automating repetitive tasks and streamlining workflows, driving efficiency across teams. Best Practices & Uptime: Advocate for DevOps best practices and ensure high application uptime and system reliability. Collaborate & Innovate: Work in an Agile environment alongside a talented team to ensure the seamless availability and reliability of digital services. Essential Skills & Experience: Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning. Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP for cloud service deployment and management. Containerisation: Experience building and managing Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters to support scalable applications. Scripting & Automation: Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating tasks and improving workflows. Security & Performance: Knowledge of network security, identity management, and system hardening best practices. Agile Development: Experience working within an Agile framework to support the development and operations of web applications. Desirable Skills: Serverless & Microservices: Experience with AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, and event-driven architectures. Observability & Monitoring: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic for enhanced visibility and observability. Networking: Knowledge of VPCs, VPNs, and load balancing in cloud environments. GDS Standards: Awareness of GDS Service Standards and accessibility requirements, especially for public sector projects.
