Accounts Analyst (Temporary Position) Location: Norwich Job Type: Temporary Salary: Up to £18.00 per hour (depending on experience) We are currently seeking an Accounts Analyst to join our clients Finance Department based fulltime in their Norwich office. This role is crucial for supporting our financial operations, including preparing financial reports, managing accounts payables and receivables, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial department and compliance with company management systems. Day-to-day of the role: Review and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment. Perform monthly reconciliations and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date. Assist with month-end closing and provide supporting documentation for audits. Manage financial transactions and create detailed financial reports. Analyse financial data to recommend improvements in systems and financial performance. Collaborate closely with the financial team on budgeting and forecasting. Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Track expenses and revenues against budgets, reforecast, and analyse fluctuations. Conduct monthly balance sheet, income statement, and budget variance analyses. Research and resolve accounting issues, including invoice discrepancies. Ensure compliance with financial legal requirements by understanding and enforcing company policies and legislation. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as an Accounts Analyst or in a similar role within the financial sector. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial software proficiency. Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and handling large data sets. Exceptional attention to detail with robust analytical and mathematical skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros). Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA preferred; CPAs and CFAs are advantageous.
