Our Community and Events Team are looking for someone to support them in delivering their supporter journey - specifically helping with fulfilment and administrative tasks. Your contribution will be helping us continue to raise vital funds for animals in need across England and Wales.
This role will be based in the RSPCA Horsham Hub and you will be supported by a member of the Community and Events team each time you are in. You would be required to attend the office for either one morning (9am - 12) or one afternoon (1pm - 4pm) a week or fortnightly. However, your schedule can be flexible and discussed on a weekly basis. During certain months of the year more support might be required as we have large Challenge Events in March, April and September.
The Office Volunteer will act as the face of the Team as you will be directly communicating with our supporters through the event packs, hand written cards, and letters you send to our supporters. This role would help us expand our engagement with our supporters and make sure everyone feels supported and appreciated and this in turn could lead to repeated donors for the RSPCA.
Experience in a similar role isn’t essential, but it will require an awareness of the principles of data protection and the importance of confidentiality when handling personal information. You should be able to use your own initiative and communicate effectively. Writing skills and experience with Google Workspace/Google Sheets would also be desirable.
If you are thinking of volunteering for a career change or something to do in your spare time, then this is a great opportunity to learn new skills to add to your CV, along with a great induction and training relevant to your role. You'll be making a huge difference to the welfare of animals.
