Bank - Day Controller / Planner
We are looking for a dynamic thinker to support our local planning of patient journeys. The role involves effectively planning patient journeys to and from home / health care setting using our cleric system and against set key performance indicators.
Our patients have varying clinical and mobility needs; some of our patients travel regularly with us into renal and oncology units. Our patients and staff are our priority, ensuring we show care, compassion, and empathy.
You will need a calm approach under pressure and have geographical knowledge of working areas. Customer service skills are also key as you will be liaising with patients, clinics, and our staff, keeping calm under pressure and following the Trust's vision and values.
We are looking for individuals that are able to cover shifts in both Bedford and Stevenage Control Rooms, so having your own transport and residing locally would be beneficial.
There will be an initial training program that you will be required to commit to on commencing the role; this may require you to travel to any of the following sites: Epping, Chelmsford, Bedford, and Stevenage.
Responsibilities include:
1. Planning of transport for future dates.
2. Control of ambulance service resources for the current day.
3. Ensuring all patients on our transport get home as quickly as possible.
