Gas & Renewables Engineer
Location: Torquay – covering TQ, EX Postcodes
Salary: £40,007 - £42,112 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week
We are looking for a qualified domestic Gas & Renewables Engineer who can work as part of our team and independently, completing a defined workload of service, repair, and installation jobs per day. You will join our Gas Maintenance team to assist with delivering high-quality gas servicing and maintenance of heating systems for our customers, including gas servicing, repairs, installations, and renewable air source heat pump servicing and repairs. This role includes On Call duties every 4 to 5 weeks, with a company van and tools provided.
Responsibilities:
* Carrying out fault fixing, servicing, and installation of gas central heating systems.
* Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations.
* Resolving problems or initiating the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed.
* Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed.
Skills and Experience:
* To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented - G3 Certificate, and Water Regulations (WRAS), currently undertaking the qualification or prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group.
* Previous experience in a similar domestic gas servicing and maintenance role is essential.
* Ideally qualified or have experience working on Air Source Heat Pumps; training can be provided if required.
* Ability to work alone on a variety of different boiler types and systems.
* Proactive approach to health and safety, creating a safe environment for all.
* Must hold a full valid UK driving licence to drive a company vehicle.
