Independent Water Networks, part of the BUUK Group, is a licensed water company who serve customers throughout England and Wales. We operate under a NAV license, whereby we are appointed by Ofwat to provide water and/or sewerage services to consumers. Reporting to the Water Networks Director, we are looking for a Head of Water Strategic Projects who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service. This role will be leading the delivery of strategic projects within IWNL to enable business growth, and delivering key strategies to differentiate IWNL, including Asset Management, smart metering, retail, leakage and water efficiency. There will be national travel as required, with a regular presence in the IWNL offices in Cardiff. As the Head of Water Strategic Projects your key responsibilities are: 1 - Change management, via delivery of strategic projects and improvements, to deliver consistent, industry leading performance, in the following areas: NAV Licence and regulation compliance. Intelligent Asset Management, using Smart Business Intelligence systems. Deliver solutions that automate data monitoring systems are ensure existing IWNL owned assets are maintained to leading industry standards and budgets. 24/7/365 operational response for all incidents within SLAs and to industry leading standards of customer service. Compliance with water quality standards. Delivery of Smart Water Metering Strategy. 2 - Deputise for the Water Network Director including: Technical support to GTC Sales and adoption partners as required. Represent IWNL at Water UK and other industry initiatives that supply the growth of the asset base. Maintenance and compliance with all water quality / water / wastewater operational policies, processes, standards relevant legislation, industry requirements and company health, safety and core values. Work collaboratively with Gas, Electricity and Fibre Network Directors on operational synergies. Assist other BUUK Departmental Managers to ensure continued efficient operations within the Company that promote continuous improvement within water operational procedures. Ensure NAV licences or contingency agreements are in place to enable timely delivery of site infrastructure on new developments, ahead of the clients build out programme. Lead a team that provides a first-class customer experience, with a focus on both compliance and health, safety and the environment. About you Degree in an engineering discipline and hold Chartered status. Significant experience in similar work at a senior level, leading multiple project delivery teams. Working knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice and Recommendations relating to Water and Wastewater Distribution Systems. Proven leadership and delivery of change management initiatives at a senior level in an asset owning business. Track record of delivering successful commercial outcomes. Strategic thinker in relation to problem solving & stakeholder management. What can you expect from us At least the cost of living pay increase every year.
