We have an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a small team of enthusiastic Service Delivery Centre (Vaccinations) Admin Support Assistants to support the delivery of NHS Highlands vaccination programme.
The successful candidate will have strong administration skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, evolving environment.
You will be competent in the use of Microsoft packages, including Word and Excel and Microsoft Teams and be able to demonstrate:-
Excellent customer service skills;
Experience of working as part of a team;
Excellent telephone manner;
Adeptness in using own initiative;
Experience of working in a busy environment;
The ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively and efficiently whilst having the ability to remain calm under pressure;
A sound understanding of confidentiality within a healthcare setting;
Flexible with excellent communication skills.
You will be required to manage referrals for the NHS Highland vaccination programme, including contacting citizens to schedule, book and reschedule vaccination appointments locally and/or via National systems.
You will provide administration support within the Service Delivery Centre (Vaccinations) to ensure accurate records are maintained, be required to manage inbound/outbound calls together with managing emails/voicemails received by the service and to escalate enquiries, where required.
Prior experience of call management and data entry would be beneficial, but not essential as full training will be provided.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
