We are seeking a versatile and experienced professional to take on the role of Assembly Technician for our ‘next generation’ autonomous underwater glider platform. This role will be responsible for the assembly and partial assembly of autonomous gliders, including setup and upkeep of the production area. This ‘hands-on’ role requires precision, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards in both product quality and workplace safety.
Responsibilities:
* Interpret and follow assembly drawings and detailed instructions
* Assemble components and sub-components manually
* Build small parts and mechanical units using hand tools and equipment
* Conduct functional testing on assembled products
* Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace
General Duties:
* Carry out tasks as assigned by the UK Managing Director
* Represent the organisation in a professional and respectful manner at all times
* Participate in meetings as required
Minimum Requirements:
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
* Solid technical knowledge and aptitude
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Competent with Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant digital platforms
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Valid, unrestricted driving licence
* Unrestricted right to work in the UK
* Eligible for UK Defence Security Clearance
* First Aid certification
