Job Title: Direct Marketing Fundraising Manager
Reports to: UK Head of Fundraising
Location: Godalming HQ (minimum 2 days in the office)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
As the Direct Marketing Fundraising Manager, you will play a vital role in driving fundraising income and long-term growth. You will lead the planning and management of direct marketing campaigns, including Appeals, Raffles, Lotteries, and supporter communications. Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the development and execution of multi-channel fundraising campaigns across direct mail and digital platforms.
* Overseeing creative development, production, and distribution processes for direct marketing materials.
* Collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to deliver engaging, results-driven campaigns.
* Analysing campaign data and performance metrics to optimise fundraising strategies and achieve KPIs.
* Managing budgets, forecasting, and ensuring effective resource allocation.
* Keeping up to date with industry trends, direct marketing best practices, and supporter engagement strategies.
What You Need to Succeed:
* Proven experience in direct marketing fundraising, ideally within the charity sector.
* Strong track record in managing direct mail and multi-channel campaigns, from concept to execution.
* Experience working with creative agencies, print production suppliers, and data teams.
* Ability to analyse campaign performance, interpret data, and optimise strategies accordingly.
* Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills to engage supporters and donors.
* A passion for animal welfare and an understanding of ethical fundraising principles.
